The Rectangular Pipe Socket Plain is a separate cast iron socket fitting that provides a plain jointing collar at any point in a rectangular downpipe run without integral ears. Used where a plain pipe needs to be joined to another plain pipe, or where a socket is needed at a position independent of wall fixing requirements. The plain socket is fixed using a separate holderbat or bracket at the appropriate wall position.

Cast iron hopper heads from Tuscan Foundry are available in Standard Black (a factory-applied primer and topcoat finish) and Heritage Colours. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, providing a vapour-permeable, historically authentic coating that is particularly appropriate for listed buildings and conservation projects. A corner hopper head collects rainwater from two gutters running at right angles and channels it into a single downpipe. They are typically required at internal roof valleys, on hipped roofs, and wherever two runs of gutter converge at a corner. A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the reverse of the grille that can be moved to open or close the ventilation apertures. This allows airflow to be regulated without removing or replacing the grille. The vent can be fully open, partially open, or fully closed depending on ventilation requirements.
