The RB502 is a fascia-mounted rise and fall bracket for plain half round cast iron guttering. Where a standard fixed fascia bracket cannot provide precise fall control — on older properties with uneven fascia lines, long gutter runs, or where the gradient needs to be set independently of the fascia angle — the RB502’s adjustable rise and fall mechanism provides the solution.
The bracket features a galvanised steel fascia plate with a threaded rise and fall cup that allows the gutter to be set at the correct fall at each fixing point. This eliminates shimming and packing and allows accurate gradient setting across the full length of the run. Available in four sizes to suit standard cast iron half round gutter profiles: 100mm (4″), 115mm (4.5″), 125mm (5″), and 150mm (6″).
Commonly specified on listed building and heritage conservation projects where cast iron half round guttering must perform correctly over long runs or where the existing fascia line is not straight. The RB502 is also compatible with Osma, Marley, and other standard half round gutter systems, making it a practical choice for mixed or replacement installations.

Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.

The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
It is possible for us to supply towel warmers with an electric heating element in them. The Electrad system is a unique system available to us, that enables independent heating of towel rails and radiators via the properties electrical system.
Our brackets are more commonly used on cast iron rainwater systems. Unlike plastic, cast iron is heavy and the weight keeps the gutter in position. As such our brackets do not normally have retaining clips which could lead to plastic or lightweight gutters blowing out of the bracket. The profile of your gutter should match that of our bracket but without the weight to keep it in place you may well encounter problems in bad weather.
