Downpipe spacer plate – 30mm projection for cast iron downpipe.
The downpipe spacer plate holds a cast iron downpipe away from the wall surface with a 30mm projection, creating a standoff between the pipe body and the masonry face. The plate is fixed to the wall and the pipe clip or strap bracket is then fixed through or to the plate, positioning the pipe at a consistent distance from the wall along the full run.
A 30mm standoff allows air to circulate behind the pipe, preventing the damp accumulation and accelerated corrosion that can occur when a cast iron pipe sits in direct contact with a masonry wall — particularly on stone or lime-mortared walls where moisture retention is higher. Suitable for use with round, square, and rectangular cast iron downpipes. For specification support, call 0333 987 4452.

The Calnethorpe is designed for formal classical and Georgian elevations where scale and material authenticity matter — large townhouses, country houses, manor houses, and institutional buildings. It is also widely specified for new-build heritage projects where cast iron rainwater goods are required to conservation standard.
Polished chrome has a bright mirror finish, while satin chrome has a brushed, low-sheen appearance. Both are available in the telescopic hand winder range. The finish choice typically depends on the ironmongery specification for the project.
Yes. Polished brass ironmongery is historically appropriate for period buildings and is generally acceptable to conservation officers for listed building projects. If you require confirmation for your specific scheme, we are happy to advise — call 0333 987 4452.
With National Maintenance week fast approaching (18th – 25th November 2011), Tuscan Foundry Products Ltd have decided to help period property owners look after rainwater systems by offering big discounts on selected cast iron gutters, pipes and fittings.
Friday 25th November is designated as National Gutters Day and on this particular day, homeowners are encouraged to check their systems for evidence of damage. Repairing sections of damaged cast iron gutter and pipe can help avoid potentially thousands of pounds of damage to brickwork.
Tuscan is offering these savings across a range of profiles and includes both primer and painted stock. The offers will only be available whilst stocks last so visit our website to view our discounted cast iron rainwater goods today.
For more information concerning National Maintenance Week visit the Society for the Protect of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) at www.maintainyourbuilding.org.uk
The louvre face provides directional airflow and offers some resistance to driven rain entering the subfloor void, making it a practical choice for exposed elevations or properties in areas with significant prevailing wind and rainfall. The square-grid (school board) pattern offers a larger open ventilation area but less weather protection.
The Pultney Tapered Hopper Head is well suited to Georgian and Regency townhouses, Victorian terraces, rural farmhouses, barns, and functional estate buildings where a plain, period-correct hopper is the appropriate specification. It also works well on new heritage-style construction. Its unfussy, chamfered form makes it a versatile choice across a wide range of traditional building types.
Our cast iron airbricks are available in a choice of finishes including primer and painted options. If you require a specific finish for a conservation project or to match existing ironwork, please call us on 0333 987 4452 to discuss.
Yes. Both the satin and polished chrome telescopic rooflight hand winder openers are compatible with Lumen Rooflights and most timber-framed skylights. Call 0333 987 4452 if you need to confirm compatibility with a specific model.
The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vents are available in two sizes: 225mm × 82mm (single-course, suitable for standard airbrick positions) and 225mm × 150mm (double-course format). Both sizes are available in all three finishes: Antique Black, Polished Lacquered, and Polished Brass.
