A genuine cast iron rainwater pattern orignally used in and around Nottingham, hence Notts Ogee. The profile is only available in the one size (4.5″) and has a flat base unlike the more traditional ogee (OG) curved pattern.
The cast iron Notts OG nozzle outlet connects the Notts Ogee gutter run to the downpipe. The asymmetric front face of the Notts OG profile is maintained at the outlet point, preserving the visual consistency of the installation on Nottinghamshire and East Midlands period properties where this regional profile is the standard.
Because the Notts OG is an asymmetric profile, the nozzle outlet has a specific orientation — it cannot be reversed. Confirm the correct internal or external variant and the position of the downpipe relative to the gutter run before ordering.
Manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460:2002. Single size 115mm (4.5″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish. Specified on listed buildings and heritage restoration projects throughout Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, and the wider East Midlands. Accepted by conservation officers in the region as the appropriate fitting for period Notts OG rainwater systems.

Casting of iron is an imperfect processs. It is possible with some cast iron radiators that you will get minor imperfections in the surface finish. When radiators are painted this will reduce and over the years every additional coat of paint applied will provide a smoother more equal finish.

We do offer a range of Ogee patterned gutters in both straight and radius profiles. The straight profiles are much more common and as such cost less.
Available in two sizes: 225mm x 82mm (single airbrick course height) and 225mm x 150mm (double course height). Both sizes fit standard brick coursing positions and install flush into the wall face.
