The Chrome (Satin) Rooflight Hand Winder Opener – Telescopic is a screw-jack operated rooflight opener finished in satin chrome. Designed for timber-framed rooflights and skylights, it delivers smooth, controlled ventilation with a contemporary brushed finish that complements modern kitchens, bathrooms, and utility spaces as readily as it suits traditional interiors. Available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm sizes to accommodate varying rooflight positions.
The unit features a threaded screw-jack barrel and a right-angle crank handle in satin chrome, with a telescopic shaft for positioning flexibility. It is straightforward to fit, secure in operation, and locks the rooflight at the chosen opening position without drift. Throw: 160mm. Suitable for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights.

Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
We manufacture a wide variety of brackets for many different cast iron gutter and pipe profiles. More common types are the rise and fall, top fix and side fix rafter and the holderbat or pipe clip.
We can also offer traditional drive brackets, repair brackets and fascia brackets in both steel and cast iron.
It is always advisable to replace like with like because quite often the brackets form and important part of the buildings architecture. Occasionally buildings have special decorative brackets and our UK manufacturing allows us to produce small quantities of bespoke brackets when required.
The Ornamental Airbrick is most appropriate on Victorian Gothic buildings — churches, chapels, vicarages, almshouses, collegiate buildings, and high-specification estate architecture — where decorative ironwork was part of the original design. It suits listed building replacements in kind and heritage new build where period accuracy in detailing is expected.

The Antique Black cast iron version is suitable for external use. The Polished Lacquered version is best suited to interiors or sheltered external locations where the polished finish will be protected from weathering. The Polished Brass version is suited to interior and semi-exposed locations. For external applications on exposed elevations, the Antique Black finish is the recommended specification.
