The Chrome Rooflight Hand Winder Opener – Telescopic is a screw-jack operated rooflight opener finished in polished chrome. Designed for timber-framed rooflights and skylights, the high-reflective finish gives it a crisp, bright appearance that suits both contemporary and traditional interiors. Available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm sizes to match different rooflight positions and throw requirements.
The unit features a threaded screw-jack barrel and a right-angle crank handle in polished chrome, with a telescopic shaft for installation flexibility. Operation is straightforward — the crank handle engages the screw-jack and holds the rooflight securely at the desired ventilation position. Throw: 157mm. Suitable for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights.
Widely used in conservatories and orangeries, this opener is equally suited to kitchen extensions with over-sink rooflights, loft rooms, garden rooms, and period properties where polished chrome hardware is consistent with the existing fittings. The H460 accepts round pipe connections in 65mm, 75mm, and 100mm diameters. Square pipe connections are available in 75×75mm, 100×100mm, and 125×125mm. Rectangular connections include 100×75mm, 125×100mm, and 150×100mm options. Connection type is selected at the point of order.
The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
The polished chrome telescopic rooflight hand winder is suited to contemporary, Georgian-revival, and high-specification interiors where a bright chrome finish is required to complement existing ironmongery. It is compatible with Lumen Rooflights and timber-framed skylights.
