The Chrome Rooflight Hand Winder Opener – Telescopic is a screw-jack operated rooflight opener finished in polished chrome. Designed for timber-framed rooflights and skylights, the high-reflective finish gives it a crisp, bright appearance that suits both contemporary and traditional interiors. Available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm sizes to match different rooflight positions and throw requirements.
The unit features a threaded screw-jack barrel and a right-angle crank handle in polished chrome, with a telescopic shaft for installation flexibility. Operation is straightforward — the crank handle engages the screw-jack and holds the rooflight securely at the desired ventilation position. Throw: 157mm. Suitable for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights.
Widely used in conservatories and orangeries, this opener is equally suited to kitchen extensions with over-sink rooflights, loft rooms, garden rooms, and period properties where polished chrome hardware is consistent with the existing fittings. Tuscan Foundry's cast iron hopper heads are available in Standard Black and Heritage Colour finishes. Yes. Cast iron airbricks are the appropriate material for listed buildings and conservation area properties where the original ventilation grilles were cast iron. They maintain the character and material authenticity required by most conservation officers and listed building consent conditions. We recommend confirming the specific pattern with your conservation officer before ordering.
Cast iron radiators cost no more to run than modern steel or aluminium radiators. Cast iron is a very efficient material at emitting heat, thus you have items like le creuset cast iron pans. Cast iron holds it’s heat extremly well, which means that the radiators stay warm for longer.
The Polished Lacquered finish suits buildings where period ironwork was finished bright rather than painted — formal entrance elevations, listed properties, and settings where the grille contributes to the decorative programme of the facade. It is appropriate for conservation specifications and high-specification heritage new build.

We manufacture a wide variety of brackets for many different cast iron gutter and pipe profiles. More common types are the rise and fall, top fix and side fix rafter and the holderbat or pipe clip.
We can also offer traditional drive brackets, repair brackets and fascia brackets in both steel and cast iron.
It is always advisable to replace like with like because quite often the brackets form and important part of the buildings architecture. Occasionally buildings have special decorative brackets and our UK manufacturing allows us to produce small quantities of bespoke brackets when required.
The Antique Black cast iron version is suitable for external use. The Polished Lacquered version is best suited to interiors or sheltered external locations where the polished finish will be protected from weathering. The Polished Brass version is suited to interior and semi-exposed locations. For external applications on exposed elevations, the Antique Black finish is the recommended specification.
It is possible for us to supply towel warmers with an electric heating element in them. The Electrad system is a unique system available to us, that enables independent heating of towel rails and radiators via the properties electrical system.
The Ornamental Airbrick (OAB) is available in three sizes: 225mm × 75mm (2.8kg), 225mm × 150mm (4.1kg), and 225mm × 225mm (5.8kg). All sizes have a uniform depth of 75mm, making them consistent to install across a subfloor ventilation course.
