Contains jointing strip, bolts, washers and nuts to complete 10 joints on Half Round, Beaded Half Round and Deep Half Round Gutters. For Ogee and No.46 Moulded profiles the jointing strip is replaced with U9 silicone.
The gutter jointing kit contains all the components needed to complete 10 joints on a cast iron gutter run: jointing strip, bolts, washers, and nuts. The jointing strip seals the socket-and-spigot joint between gutter sections, providing a flexible and waterproof seal that accommodates the thermal movement of cast iron guttering. The bolts, washers, and nuts secure the union clips that mechanically connect each joint.
Compatible with standard half round, beaded half round, deep half round, moulded ogee, G46, and Notts OG profiles. For ogee and No.46 moulded gutter, only the bolts are used — the jointing strip is not applicable to these profiles. The kit format ensures all components are available together, avoiding the delays and additional cost of ordering jointing materials and fixings separately. A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the reverse of the grille that can be moved to open or close the ventilation apertures. This allows airflow to be regulated without removing or replacing the grille. The vent can be fully open, partially open, or fully closed depending on ventilation requirements.

The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vents are available in two sizes: 225mm × 82mm (single-course, suitable for standard airbrick positions) and 225mm × 150mm (double-course format). Both sizes are available in all three finishes: Antique Black, Polished Lacquered, and Polished Brass.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available with 65mm, 75mm and 100mm round outlets, 75mm, 100mm and 125mm square outlets, and 100x75mm, 125x100mm and 150x125mm rectangular outlets, to match the downpipe already on site or specified for the project.
Our brackets are more commonly used on cast iron rainwater systems. Unlike plastic, cast iron is heavy and the weight keeps the gutter in position. As such our brackets do not normally have retaining clips which could lead to plastic or lightweight gutters blowing out of the bracket. The profile of your gutter should match that of our bracket but without the weight to keep it in place you may well encounter problems in bad weather.
Tuscan Foundry's cast iron hopper heads are available in Standard Black and Heritage Colour finishes. A linseed oil paint finish is also offered — a sustainable, vapour-permeable option particularly appropriate for listed buildings and conservation projects. The Cast Iron Louvre Airbrick suits Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, semi-detached properties, public houses, agricultural buildings, and workshop structures where the original airbrick was a louvre-face grille. The horizontal fin profile is widely found in British domestic and light industrial construction from the 1870s through to the 1950s.
In most cases, replacing like-for-like cast iron guttering on a listed building does not require Listed Building Consent (LBC), provided the replacement matches the existing profile, material, and finish exactly. However, any change of material away from cast iron will almost always require consent. We recommend consulting your local conservation officer before proceeding, and we can provide specification documentation to support your application if required.
