The gutter jointing kit contains all the components needed to complete 10 joints on a cast iron gutter run: jointing strip, bolts, washers, and nuts. The jointing strip seals the socket-and-spigot joint between gutter sections, providing a flexible and waterproof seal that accommodates the thermal movement of cast iron guttering. The bolts, washers, and nuts secure the union clips that mechanically connect each joint.
Compatible with standard half round, beaded half round, deep half round, moulded ogee, G46, and Notts OG profiles. For ogee and No.46 moulded gutter, only the bolts are used — the jointing strip is not applicable to these profiles. The kit format ensures all components are available together, avoiding the delays and additional cost of ordering jointing materials and fixings separately. Yes. All our mild steel brackets are supplied in either silver or black zinc plate. This coating protects the metal however, both will need painting prior to installation.
We have chosen to use zinc plating for two reasons; firstly that it is a more environmentally friendly than galvanising and secondly that it does not block up the threaded part of the rise and fall cups in the way that galvanising does.
The H530 measures 330mm wide x 150mm deep x 350mm high, making it well suited to Georgian and Victorian terraces, where a compact, narrow footprint is needed.

Yes. Cast iron hopper heads are the historically correct choice for listed and period buildings, and a like-for-like cast iron replacement is generally accepted without objection by conservation officers. We manufacture to BS 460 for genuine heritage character and durability.
BS 460:2002 is the British Standard governing cast iron rainwater goods — gutters, pipes, and fittings. It sets the dimensional tolerances, materials, and performance requirements a component must meet, so that joints seal, sections align, and the system performs as a whole rather than as isolated parts. All Tuscan Foundry Products components are manufactured to comply with BS 460:2002, which is worth citing directly in specification documents and listed building consent applications. The same manufacturing standard applies to bespoke and copy-cast work, even where the profile itself isn't from our standard range.
Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for use on all listed building classes. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
